Getty Images breidt uit naar China
Getty Images is establishing the largest photo bureau operating in Beijing, with staff and freelance photographers covering China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Getty Images also today announced that it has signed agreements with six top editorial image partners to expand the relevance of its collections worldwide.
Two-time World Press Photo judge Andrew Wong, formerly with Reuters, is leading the team of China-based Getty Images staff and freelance photographers for Getty Images. The team has in-depth experience covering broad news, sport and entertainment. The Beijing team, which has extensive Olympics experience, will support Getty Images in its capacity as Official Photographic Partner of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
Simultaneous with its expansion to China, Getty Images is adding six editorial image collections to www.gettyimages.com, underscoring its commitment to meet the diverse needs of news media worldwide. The new collections include some of the most respected sources of editorial content, including Aurora and National Geographic.
